Outsider Artist Robyn “The Beaver” Beaverland (1957-1998) Self Portrait

$0.00

Robyn “The Beaver” Beaverland lived in Oldsmar, Florida until his death. He was born with a very rear syndrome called “Wolfrand Syndrome.” He used regular house paint on plywood to create paintings from his own mind’s experience. He enjoyed making people happy by painting pictures.

I really like this one which is supposed to be a self portrait. Apparently he painted himself yellow when he wasn’t feeling well. I got this from a collector who had some wonderful examples but was only letting a few go. In my mind this was the best one she was selling. I love the use of color as well as the story behind his work.

8 and 1/8 inches tall.

Some loss at the bottom and his signature is hard to read. Painted on plywood.
