Antique Sewer Tile Folk Art Pottery Pig Circa 1935
$95.00
Up for sale is a neat sewer tile pig. Small but has a great form. Looks to be made by hand and not a mold. Has pin pricks all over its body. Has a mouth, tail, ears and eyes. Cool little piece of folk art.
Not sure where it was made. Came to me from a Pittsburgh dealer who get it from a New England flipper. Looks American for sure.
Circa 1935
A hair over 2 and 1/4 inches tall. About the same front to back and little more narrow left to right. See can for scale.
Condition: Nice condition. Displays well. No repairs. No chips or cracks to the body. Has some separation or drying cracks to the base. Done during the manufacturing but they are still there. One extends up the side of the base too. See last 4 photos for close ups of this. The one photo makes it look like a chip on the left ear but that was just some glare from light. Collection worthy in my mind.
