Antique Folk Art Carving Wood Plaque Eagle with Lords Prayer Southern

Here is a neat piece of folk art / outsider art. Its a carved wood eagle plaque with relief carving of the Lord’s Prayer. Can you imagine how many hours this took? I believe it dates to around the 1920s-40s. Good oxidation to the bare wood. Good patina.

Allegedly found in the Carolinas.  Looks potentially southern to me but no proof of it either way.

Good size. Has a wire on the back and is ready to hang on a wall.

21 and half inches tall. 13 and 3/4 inches wide. 7/8 of a inch deep. See can for scale.

Condition: Nice condition. Some edge wear. Some scratches. Some staining or lack of staining on the back. Back edge has some wear, loss and maybe worm damage. That looks like it might have been there before it was carved. Not sure. Front looks good though. Some of the beads are missing. No repairs. A few drying / age cracks but they are only on the surface. Original surface. No touch ups.
