Antique Carved Marble Memorial Stone with Birds, Late 1800s

Up for sale is a neat carved marble block. It was sold to me as a doorstop but a friend said these were memorials for inside the house (usually on a mantle). Made by the same people who made gravestones. This one is marked R.H. and has 3 birds on top. Dates to the mid to late 1800s. Recently found in New England.

Weighs 4 and half pounds.

7 and 1/4 inches long. 3 inches wide. Just under 2 and half inches tall.

Condition: Displays well. Has some minor chipping along the edge. Few along the bottom edge. Some on the corners. Scuffing and scratches. Some staining. All original. No repairs. Looks nice.
